Temps plein (de nuit), performative sleep, documentation, 2020
As an extension of "Temps plein (de jour)", this work is based on a childhood memory : "if you don't have enough time for your homework, put it under your pillow when you sleep and they will infuse your mind during the night".
The artist decided to buy thick books he was interested in for a long time, without finding time to read them. In a performative way he decided to use them as pillows during one night.
The work is then composed by a double documentation : a picture of the sleeping-performance, laying on the unopened book.
Le monde comme volonté et représentation, Arthur Schopenhauer (1425 p.)
Grabinoulor, Pierre Albert-Birot (995 p.)
Godel, Escher, Bach Les Brins d'une Guirlande E?ternelle, Douglas Hofstadter (883 p.)
Value of the artwork varies according on the number of pages the artist slept on.
